Synopsis

Every year, the Hindu Goddess Devi Durga is revered for her strength in eliminating evil, symbolizing the power and respect women deserve. However, at the same time, at an alarming rate, women fall victim to unspeakable violence—raped, murdered, and discarded. These tragedies cast a dark shadow over the hope and joy meant to accompany the celebration. Based on factual information of 248 rapes followed by murder in 2022, such hypocryptic actions raise questions about what could be done to stop such violence and protect these women, allowing them to live fulfilling lives. It calls for a collective effort to eliminate the evil within society, hoping to reverse the grim fate that many women face. It is an experimental film using imperfect animation and unique storytelling techniques to address a social issue.
